So we have been in California for about 2 weeks. We only have one car right now, so during the day I hang out at the hotel while David is at work. I have written thank you's already. The storage unit needs to be sorted through. Needless the say, I am avoiding this last project for now. So today I went to Michael's and got a TON of yarn. I am going to start making a striped blanket. No idea if I will keep it or gift it. But I need something to do with my time. So I will try to put some photo updates on here are I progress.
David and I have been grilling out the past few nights, as we discovered the grills here at the hotel. It is nice t have real cooked food, versus the microwave and fridge. Mmm! : /
We have seen a lot of new movies lately, so I guess I can write about those. The first week or so we were here we Redbox-ed every night (yes, it is a verb in our household). Let's see...
Rango: This is a good family movie. It has some adult humor and we laughed at it. Not the best animated movie I have seen, but if there are children involved, I would say it is worth it.
127 Hours: This movie is weird. It definitely has a different camera/filming technique that your average movie. If you have heard there is a sketchy/gorey part of the movie, you are correct. However, this is only about 2-4 minutes of the movie. But all said this movie is odd for sure!
Love & Other Drugs: This movie has Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhall. It is pretty good. On the outside it seems like it is just funny, but it is also very serious, dealing with a real disease affecting people's lives. Good, but a lot of sex in this movie!
Red Riding Hood: I liked this movie. It was creepy enough to keep you interested, but not downright scary. It gives a few nods to the original story of Little Red Riding Hood. I would recommend this.
X-Men First Class: If you have seen all of the other X-men movies, this one is a MUST! Not only is it good because it is X-Men, but it puts a lot of other pieces together for the "previous" movies. Although this movie is technically the prequel to the other 4. SEE THIS!
Well that is all I have for now. Take care and lots of love from the Hammans!
