Weekend

As promised, I have some interesting things to share from the weekend. We were throwing around plans on Friday night of things to do last weekend. We wanted to go to LegoLand originally, but it is a little pricey considering. I brought up SeaWorld and we decided to go to the ticket office on base and check tickets out. We were planning on doing the "twilight" military discount. When we walked in to ask about it, the guy who worked there looked at us a little funny, he said have you used you free tickets yet? David and I looked at each other and back at him... "free you say"... we were all ears. Apparently military and 3 direct dependents get in free once a year to seaworld, busch gardens and a few others. Needless to say, we were sold!

So Saturday morning we slept in and got around to head to San Diego. We were a little late in moving, but it turned out okay. Seaworld was so much fun! It was perfect weather outside. We saw a couple Shamu shows, a sea lion night show, and a dolphin show. The Shark Encounter was pretty cool, you rode threw a tunnel of sharks. The penguins and sea lions were probably our favorite. the sea lions were feeding one of the times we went to see them, it was hiliarious. They were barking and "screeching" like crazy to get some of the fish! The penguins were hard to see because it is supposed to be dark in their "real" home, but they were very impressive.

Sunday we hung out around the hotel for awhile and then headed to the beach. The water was pretty cold that day, so we played some scrabble on the Kindle while we got some sun. It was nice a relaxing.

The weekend seems so far away from now. As of last night I started to get sick. Mostly just a cold and some sinus congestion, but it is not fun. I went to the store earlier and loaded up on Dayquil, Nyquil and vaporub. Hoping to get a goods night sleep tonight and feel better tomorrow.

I have to clean out the car at some point in the next two days. it is messy with our random clothes and very dusty and sandy. Definitely doesn't look like a new car and needs cleaned before we take our road trip back.

Well here's to me getting well soon *cheers the dayquil bottle* ;) Enjoy the rest of your week!
