Withdraws

Hello all & happy Friday! Not much different about Friday's now days for me, except it means I get 2 days of David to myself.

So lately I have been having serious kitchen withdraws. Not necessarily real meals, I have been trying to get those in when I can. I have experimented a bit with what I can make on my George Foreman. Today I had a delicious jalepeno/cheddar sausage with 2 types of cheese on an onion bagel. It was pretty stinking good!

Anyways, I am in serious need of an oven! I want to make cookies, and brownies, and cakes and all these new recipes my favorite cooking site keeps posting.. (Stinking, addicting Picky-Palate) I am well aware I could be making rice krispie treats and I tend to use any cereal I feel like in them, but it is just not the same. I will get there in the next few days I bet. Foil pans I am heading your way! Best believe when I  have a real kitchen and an oven it will be on!

So last night I was flipping through the channels while David was snoring next to me, and found an awesome show on Discovery Channel. It is Shark Week, so they had special shows going on. I like fish and sharks, I find them fascinating. This show is called Shark City. Pretty freaking awesome concept if I might say so myself... Mike Rowe is the narrator to this fishy reality show. All the "main" creatures they watch have names. Oh the names... Lloyd and Harry are the two main sharks they watch. There is Big Mama, a large and much more experiences shark, Raja is a baby tiger shark, Tang and Lilou are Lemon Sharks, Winfield (my favorite) is a spikey crab thing, oh and Don Vito is a big "mob boss" shark. It just made my night to see them swimming around doing what they do, AKA attack fish, while be narrated. So clever. I mean how many people watch the discovery channel and do often narrate the animals... I admit I have a time or two. So i thought this was genius. Now to the sad part, this show appears to only be a part of Shark Week! LAME!

Well , sad to say the highlight of this post is an awesome discovery channel show, but that it is. Hoping to have some good stuff to tell after this weekend!

Hugs & Kisses
Alex
